Room was bright and clean. Location was fantastic, right beside tram stop and around the corner from U-Bahn station.

You had to pay 1 Euro each time you wanted to use the safe in the room. Also, we checked in and were given a room at the front of the hotel, facing the street. As the tram runs right past the door, the room was very noisy when the windows were open. If the windows (double-glazed) were closed, you couldn't hear anything. But we were there in high summer, and as there was no air coniditioning, it was impossible to sleep with the windows closed. So we had to open the windows, and it was extremely noisy. We did inquire after a room at the back of the building but were told that we should have specified this at time of booking and that it cost EUR 15 extra! I don't remember seeing this on the web site at the time, and I would certainly have booked a room at the back if I'd known this.

The staff was lovely and great, they showed us what EXCELLENT service is supposed to be like. The room was nice, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, will definitely visit place next time.

my decent sized room was well priced with a balcony as well as modern facilities. the breakfast was free and included eggs and bacon.

The tram stop right outside made it convenient to get around the city. There were plenty of restaurants in the area, including a small coffee shop next door that served delicious pastries. The room was clean and comfortable, with spacious storage. Although the WiFi in the room was not great, sitting on the windowsill helped maintain a connection. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful, providing public transport tickets and recommendations for places to eat. I had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Kastanienhof and would recommend it to others.

This hotel is very clean, staff is friendly, great location and they rent bikes! I had a single room which was perfect size and bed was very comfortable. I felt immediately at home. Would recommend to anyone.

The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring the city. We loved how close it was to the city centre and how there was a tram stop right outside. The hotel was also located in a nice area, away from the tourist spots, but still had great restaurants nearby. The hotel facilities were clean, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast had a great variety of food, and we enjoyed it very much.

Clean and nice. A room towards the street is unfortuneately a bit noisy, because of the tramway. Next time I would insist on a room towards the yard.

For European hotel rooms are large, comfortable, clean, quiet, good in room storage, outstanding breakfast and coffee, and supberb staff. There was not a question they could not answer and they were very willing to offer advice and help on travel and sites to eat. Safe & Secure environment.

Authentic hotel in a lively area right by lovely Prenzlauer Berg, tram stop in a nice area and restaurants, shopping, sights, transportation. Pleasant and really good staff onsite. Very nice overall experience.

This hotel is located in a nice neighborhood close to central Berlin, away from tourist areas. The tram stop right in front of the hotel makes transportation very convenient. The rooms on the fourth floor are equipped with modern amenities and feature very comfortable beds. The breakfast is also highly recommended with a good buffet at a reasonable price.

Everything was perfect, no improvements needed.
